====== Captive Portal ====== A captive portal is used to log into networks Calling up captive portals is similar to logging into public networks such as those of hotels, restaurants and train-stations. In the case of CSN, captive portals are used to register devices. Captive portals open up automatically directly after connecting to the correctly connected router. If they do not: one can call them up by opening a webbrowser. Usually one can spot a button calling for logging into the network. {{ :anleitung:captive_portal_start_en.jpg?600 |}} __'The captive portal still doesn't show up?'__ \\ Try initiating it manually by calling it up in your webbrowser: ^Webbrowser ^Captive Portal URL |Firefox | http://detectportal.firefox.com/canonical.html | |Safari | http://captive.apple.com/ | |Chrome | http://www.gstatic.com/generate_204 | |Edge & Opera | http://www.msftconnecttest.com/connecttest.txt |
